Abstract
A genomic analysis of 8,006 tumors spanning 19 cancer types suggests that hypoxic tumors share common features, including genomic instability. Eleven types of cancer carried extra copies of MYC, and seven types had lost PTEN. The study also found that miRNA dysregulation was prevalent across tumor types.
