Abstract
Summary: Sequencing of cancer genomes has demonstrated that driver mutations occur in every component of the transcriptional machinery including histones that comprise the nucleosome. Histone mutations may affect the “tail” residues subject to post-translational modification and can compromise the structural integrity of the histone octamer.
